How Our After-Hours Emergency Line Works

When dental emergencies happen outside of active clinical hours, Dr. DiNinno is available to help evaluate your situation and guide you toward relief.

1. Call the Emergency Line

Dial (617) 302-6726 and leave a message. Please state:

• Your full name
• Whether you are an existing patient of record
• A brief description of your symptoms, injury, or pain level
• The best callback phone number

2. Rapid Review & Response

Your voicemail is automatically converted into a text transcript sent directly to Dr. DiNinno. During waking hours, Dr. DiNinno will review your message and respond as quickly as possible via text message or phone call.

3. Immediate Next Steps & Relief

• Prescriptions: If you are an active patient of record and your emergency involves severe pain or active infection, Dr. DiNinno can call in an appropriate prescription to your pharmacy.
• Next Available Clinical Appointment: For most emergencies, we will reserve time for you on our very next open clinical day for in-office treatment.
• Urgent Referrals: If your condition warrants immediate clinical intervention before our office reopens, Dr. DiNinno will coordinate a referral to a trusted local specialist or urgent dental care center.

Severe & Life-Threatening Emergencies

While we handle toothaches, broken teeth, lost crowns, and localized oral injuries, certain severe conditions require emergency medical room intervention.

Please call 911 or visit the nearest hospital emergency room immediately if you experience:

• Severe facial swelling that extends toward your neck, throat, or eyes, or causes difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Uncontrolled bleeding following a dental injury or surgical procedure
• Suspected jaw fractures or serious head and neck trauma accompanying a dental injury
